Estella inspiration

I am now beginning to work on my own inspiration of creating my Estella. After watching the BBC three part series of Great Expectations which was my favorite interpretation of the novel. This three part series had reference to butterflies within the opening part of each show.  You can watch the series on Netflix.

This video that I have included in this blog post is a short clip from the BBC three part series. This clip includes the butterflies that were shown in the series that I want to show through my designs for Estella.

I think that butterflies were used through the series as they are a representation of the changes and metamorphosis throughout Estellas life. At the end of the series when her abusive husband died i think that this represents the new beginnings that Estella now has for her life.

I am still unsure of what designs I want to use for my hair and makeup designs for Estella yet I look forward to doing more research for inspiration for my final Estella designs.
