Researching hairstyles from key words

To begin thinking about the practical assessment of re creating Miss Havisham and Estella I was given a list of key words which are listed below to research.

Passionate & romantic,

Cold & cruel,

Eccentric & decaying.

I began to look on pinterest to collect images, not just of hairstyles which are relating to these words. These key words are relating to Miss Havisham’s and Estella’s character traits. This made me being thinking about how I can represent these key words within my hair designs of these two characters.

Below are three images that I think are great for representing the three different key words that I chose.

I also began thinking more about how the silhouettes of these key words portrayed in a hair style design would affect how the character comes across. The silhouettes of a hairstyle will simply just be showing the structure of a hairstyle. I think this is very important for characters as strong as Miss Havisham and Estella because they should be obvious traits of how they’re characters should be portrayed through hair design.

When creating my final designs for my assessment I will need to keep this in mind as Miss Havisham and Estella to keep their character traits very visual from the way they will look for my assessment.
